Living in a small accommodation unit (KWE)
Youngsters between the ages of 15 and 18 can be taken care of by the COA in small accommodation units [KWE]. Youngsters of various nationalities live in these units in small groups (about 4 people). The youngsters who live in a KWE are already reasonably independent but not yet to such an extent that they can live completely dependently. For each four youngsters, there is a mentor present 28.5 hours per week who supports you and helps you with things which you still have to learn, for example dealing with money and observing your agreements. Skills which you will need in order to be able to function completely independently once you are 18.
