Nidos is appointed as guardian by the court if the child’s parents are unable to exercise parental authority over the child. Guardianship is carried out by professionals with specific expertise who primarily act in the interest of the child, with respect for their cultural background and based on mutual commitment. Nidos is responsible for managing the child’s development to
independence and intervening if this development is at risk of stagnation in any way.
